A turnbuckle is a vital part of any engineering project; joining and tensioning ropes in projects from major construction, to shipping and overhead lines, allowing for the connection of various ropes and cables.
At MTL we can test your turnbuckle assembly in accordance to your procedures. We do this by clamping the sample into our Shimadzu Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and pull the sample gradually until failure occurs, noting where the failure is on the sample.
By doing so, we can provide useful inputs and data on the design and how you can improve your product’s performance.
