We make sure vessels are good to go
Jake and Jacques are inspecting a newly built boat in Palmerston North.
This is no ordinary vessel. It is for offshore subsea seismic and geophysical work as well as offshore oil and gas exploration.
They are performing Phased Array ultrasonic testing on the ship’s hull welds, 6-8mm plate T joints, longitudinal and vertical seam welds.
To make sure the job ran smoothly and efficiently, our technicians did all the calibrations and setup before going to site. Once there, welds were scanned, and data evaluated.
